The emerging biobased economy raises many issues like indirect land impacts, the role of public policy, the sustainability of agricultural practices, the affordability and abundance of food, and, economic justice particularly between north and south, urban and rural. We understand that these are serious issues and wish to participate in the ongoing societal discussions and debates. We will endeavor to be respectful, transparent, open minded and data driven in all of these activities. We are participating directly and or indirectly in a number of organizations and activities and list here some of the most important.
