
Vonnie most recently was the New Venture Manager for DuPont in its Biofuels business, joining the company in November 2006. In this role, she created the global business plan and commercialization strategy for the DuPont cellulosic ethanol technology package.
Prior to joining DuPont, Vonnie held a variety of positions in early-stage business definition and launching new technology into global markets. Her most recent role at Syngenta was initiating and managing the biomass platform. Previous roles included start-up funding and early phases of new ventures in both ethanol and agriculture biotechnology industries. She has also held business development positions at Monsanto and The Scotts Company.
Vonnie has a bachelor’s of science in Horticulture from New Mexico State University and a master’s in science in Plant Pathology from the University of California, Davis. She has extensive business training from Berkeley, Stanford, Wharton, and Harvard.
